This is really a very easy “exercise” and a great treatment to your body if done regularly, e.g. every time just before having a shower. You can detox your skin, and promote the growth of new skin cells by using a dry exfoliation brush. It
also helps to improve blood and lymph circulation. And the gentle pressure does also have a calming effect. Try it out!
As the name “dry” exfoliation says, it should be done before getting wet. It is intended for the whole body, except of some sensitive skin areas including your face (do not brush your face!). Make sure that you use a brush with soft and natural bristles.
And here we go:
General:
- Apply only very light pressure
- Avoid areas such as broken skin or where the skin is thin (e.g. face, inner thighs).
Procedure:
- Start at your feet and brush in small circles towards your heart.
- Then move on to your arms. Brush in small circles from your fingers towards your heart.
- Then reach around and brush from your back in small circles towards your stomach.
- When you are finished, wash away the dead skin cells and begin showering.
